Are you feeling a little green with envy? We are!
We love remodeling bathroom. That is no secret. The transformations are so great in such a small space and that is so fulfilling and exciting to watch. These are rooms in the home that are very important and they deserve attention.
We had the joy of remodeling this original 1960’s Jack N Jill bathroom. This small quaint home was built in the 1960s and this bathroom had not been renovated. (see original picture below) It was in desperate need of a little (or a lot) facelift.
The client wanted to keep the original layout as they loved the uniqueness of it. It added to the charm of this small home. We honored that request and we updated everything else.
We completely gutted this bathroom.
We first removed the tub and opted for an open on both side shower with glass panels on each side. Visually this opened up the space and added a beautiful feature in the center. We added new tiles on the wall in a beautiful ocean green with subtle shades of green and shine that are reminiscent of ocean waves. The floor tile we replaced with a fun mid-century-like pattern that brings in the beautiful green of the tile. We love it when a client is not afraid of color! For the shower floor we kept it simple with a glass penny tile that matched the wall tile. We replaced the vanities with floating ones to clear more space in this small bathroom. We update the toilets and all the fixtures were replaced with a brushed gold tone to add a little glamour. Because the only light in this bathroom came from the overhead vanity lights we added recessed lighting throughout including in the shower for brightness. Lastly the walls were painted a soft SW Alabaster. The new bathroom was not only beautiful and functional, it brought an original Jack N Jill bathroom into the 21st century!
WOW! We loved the transformation as does our client. The luxurious bathroom, they tell us, makes them feel like VIPs. Shouldn’t we all feel like VIPs in our own home?
We say YES PLEASE!!

The original you see above makes us feel like there was something to hide behind the tub curtain. The new version is open and elegant and bold.
Hope you love this bathroom transformation as much as we do! Enjoy more pictures below.
